WHO WE ARE
Teach Cambodia, Inc. is a registered California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation, with Federal nonprofit 501(c)(3) status. In Cambodia, we are registered as an NGO, known as the Cambodia International Pedagogical Institute (CIPI).

OUR MISSION
The mission of Teach Cambodia, Inc. is to support the revitalization and achievements of the Cambodia Educational System through world-class teacher training, research, and scholarly collaboration with educators around the globe.

OUR GOALS
The goals of Teach Cambodia, Inc are:
to provide world-class teacher training for Khmer teachers and prospective teachers;
to advance worldwide knowledge and understanding of schooling in Cambodia by providing Khmer teachers, teacher educators and other scholars with opportunities for scholarly advancement through research and collaboration with educational scholars from around the world;
to promote the development, implementation, and maintenance of innovative, academically challenging and culturally appropriate curriculum to facilitate the achievement of Cambodia’s EFA goals, through the establishment of “Laboratory Schools,” using the Professional Development Schools model, where the most advanced teaching techniques can be used. These Professional Development Schools will serve as training, curriculum research and development, and collaboration sites for teachers and scholars;
To promote self-sustainable communities of learning within the villages of Siem Reap province by establishing partnerships with village communities to facilitate training of local teachers; and establishment of sustainable community-based schools.


OUR ACTIVITIES
Teach Cambodia/CIPI aims promote enhanced teacher education, to facilitate the development of literate communities and the establishment of village communities of learning sites, and to advance worldwide knowledge and understanding of schooling in Cambodia through three major activities:

Professional Development Laboratory Schools

Sustainable Village Schools Campaign



HOW YOU CAN HELP
Teach Cambodia is the ONLY institution in Cambodia providing FREE teacher training and FREE full-day, full curriculum constructivist schooling for children grades K-8 (including 3 meals per day).  Our annual budget of $180,000 is funded solely through individual contributions, small grants and in-kind services.  Every contribution -- small or large -- goes toward the training of teachers and the education of poor rural children in Cambodia.  Join us now to help Cambodia reach its strategic education goals!
